Blueberry Pancake Time

Mad flames

Also on the list: a woodstove. I’ve spotted some possibilities in the on-line classified ads. We’re using a woodstove in the cabin now that was lent to me by our friend Russ Oakes. It’s a simple cast-iron black metal box on legs with a front door that swings open. It does a nice job, throwing plenty of heat, but I’m looking for something permanent and air tight that shows a little enamel with a splash of color. Green would be nice. Or a rich blue. Maybe this is the weekend I will find what I want.

And finally: frozen blueberries. Paul received the coupling in the mail that allows us to connect the big conventional gas stove in the kitchen to the propane system, which means we will be able to cook in the cabin. The stove has a big griddle – perfect for pancakes. It was the thought of cooking blueberry pancakes in the woods that helped get me on this project just over a year ago. Snow flurries are predicted for the weekend. Maybe we will get a dusting. A little snow on the ground would provide the perfect setting for a blueberry pancake breakfast.

QA: Gas Stove

Q: I have a gas stove which prevents cut while I'm in the middle of baking something and will remain out of a random time, then on again. I try to find how I can resolve this problem at home since Thanksgiving is just 2 days away. Does anybody have any ideas?
No no no, it turns off and stay away from everything and the oven cools, and when it starts back up, finally, it ruins my food.

A(!): It is normal for a modern oven. They have a standard single flame and ending meets oven temperature, then turn off. As the oven cools gradually, they come back to maintain the set temperature. Older units have a flame that has burned continuously variable - and why you need an oven thermometer because they were never quite dead on the adjuster.

While he maintains the temperature, leave him alone. If this is _not_ keeping the temperature, it could be two things, the more likely that you may be able to repair.

First, unplug the stove!

Song) repairable - Thermocouple sale on the electronic ignition pilot.

Watch the first image below (. Jpg). On the right is the thermocouple in the middle is the witness and spreading on the left is the Spark that lights the pilot. It is a generic image to help you the idea. With a soft brush or a soft brass brush (about the size of a toothbrush from your local hardware store), gently wipe the spreader and the thermocouple. Do not move the spreader - it should be aligned right to the point thermocouple. But skunge down as much as you can.

b) An error repair - dirty hot ignition surface assembly driver (. bmp).

Clean everything you see in this picture as above, try again not to move anything.

If none of these works and the oven holds temperature correctly (after having reconnected, of course), you're done.

c) Not easy to fix (need a part and expertise): Faulty thermocouple or mercury switch. You'll have to replace all thermocouple - maybe the pilot assembly in full if it is manufactured as a module. Any advice beyond that would require an age, make and model.

A: It is supposed to. Think about it. If he stayed, the furnace continue to get warmer and warmer. This is what the thermostat is.

Q: Hi,
I installed electric stove in my apartment. There is no gas line in our apartment. Cookers faster than electric.

I thought buying a portable gas stove and gas bottle. Use it in the kitchen. Is it safe way to do? I want to cook quickly. I am tired of power.

A(!): The portable gas stove will pump carbon monoxide into your apartment. Who can kill you unless you let the cold air in your apartment in the same time (leaving out carbon monoxide).
Simply use the electric stove.
